You are here: cheap-hotels-in-Las-Vegas - Las Vegas Attractions
Las Vegas has always been known as an adult’s playground, but the city also boasts numerous attractions for kids of all ages.
The first thing that visitors to this desert destination will notice is the world famous Las Vegas Strip, one of the most exciting streets in the world. From the famous "Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas" sign to some of the newest hotels including
Paris,
Mandalay Bay
and The Venetian,
Las Vegas is truly "larger than life".
Historically, Fremont Street is where it all began, from a small railroad stop at the turn of the century to one of the brightest streets in the world. For decades, Fremont Street was one of the best places to cruise in a convertible car but now the street has been closed off to traffic and it is a pedestrian paradise lined with kiosks, souvenir shops and, of course, plenty of casinos.
If you want to see what there is to do away from the casinos and bright lights, take a panoramic peek at recreational areas like Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area, Mt. Charleston and the quaint little town of Boulder City, the only town in the state where gambling remains illegal.
City residents say there is no place like Las Vegas anywhere else in the world. See for yourself - there truly is something for everyone in Las Vegas. Las Vegas has a whole range of free attractions, including the world’s largest permanent circus, lion and tiger habitats, and the breathtaking fountains at the Bellagio hotels. Wildlife Habitat - Flamingo Resort Hotel - View & Book
Staying true to its name, the Flamingo resort is proud to be home to a colorful flock of pink Chilean Flamingos. These pink-feathered beauties, as well as a sizable collection of other feathered friends, fascinate the visiting guests while filling out the Flamingo Wildlife Habitat.
In addition to the hotel's namesake population, you'll also find African penguins, swans, and ducks in a collection numbering more than 300. To keep the birds on their proverbial toes, such creatures as koi and turtles also swim/roam the hotel grounds.
After painstaking research, the habitat was crafted to mimic the animals' authentic environments. This allows the animals to live on islands and streams surrounded by sparkling waterfalls and lush foliage. Of course, all this occurs while being carefully tended and properly pampered by animal experts.

The Volcano Lagoon – The Mirage Hotel - View & Book
By day, a tranquil waterfall lulls passers-by into a misplaced calm. By night, a volcanic inferno erupts fireballs 100 feet in to the air. As the lagoon "catches" fire, several smaller explosions erupt and those standing close can feel the intense heat.
The volcano is located in the Mirage's expansive lagoon (which runs from the Strip's Forum Shops entrance all the way down to Treasure Island), filled with waterfalls, sculptures and lush landscaping. You'll find the best spot to watch the volcano erupt is on the Strip side, directly across from the Venetian's Campanile Tower.
Each "performance" tends to draw a crowd, so arriving at the end of the previous eruption is recommended if you want a place at the railing. This is especially true on colder evenings when chilly spectators tend to linger for a second helping of the pyrotechnic display's intense heat.
